Luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring in Wigan
With luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring, you can elevate your home with the most premium finish available, from stone to wood.
As our most popular product, LVT offers a large number of benefits, including durability and versatility.
And, thanks to our wide range of LVT flooring samples, you’re bound to find something that perfectly complements your home and taste. Plus, with our home visit service, you can compare our samples to your home and existing furniture, which isn’t always possible when you visit a showroom.
It’s also waterproof and easy to clean – excellent for bustling homes.
Laminate and vinyl options
With laminate and vinyl flooring, you can benefit from accessible price points alongside a varied range of designs and colours.
You can replicate a hardwood alternative at just a fraction of the cost, without compromising on performance. And, thanks to its versatility, it’s a great addition for bedrooms, hallways, and living rooms.
Laminate flooring is also easier to maintain than carpet, while sheet vinyl offers maximum water resistance, so you can rest assured that your investment is a smart one.
Cheap flooring in Wigan
At LJV Carpets & Flooring, you get competitive prices on laminate, vinyl, and LVT – all backed by our price match promise and satisfaction guarantee. As a local independent business, we can often beat national chains on price.
Which floor is cheapest depends on the room:
- Laminate is ideal if you’re after cheap laminate flooring in Wigan for bedrooms, hallways, and living rooms. It gives you the look of real wood at a fraction of the cost.
- Sheet vinyl is one of the most affordable waterproof options for kitchens and bathrooms. It’s softer than LVT, though, so it can dent under heavy furniture.
- LVT costs more per m² but is usually cheaper than tiling once adhesive, grout, and fitting time are added. It does need a smooth, level subfloor.
To keep your costs down:
- Let us measure in square metres for free, so you only buy what you need.
- Factor underlay, trims, and door bars into any quote you compare, as they can add up.
- Ask about end-of-line packs, remnants, and offcuts, which are great for small rooms.
- Compare full supply-and-fit prices, not just the price per m², when shopping around.

How long does it take to install new flooring in Wigan?
New flooring can usually be installed within a day, but the exact amount of time it’ll take our fitters depends on:
- The type of flooring you choose – some types of flooring – like carpet and hardwood – take a little longer to be fitted than others, like vinyl and laminate, for example.
- The size of the area – the bigger the room, the longer it’ll take us to lay your new flooring.
- The amount of prep work that needs to be done – this includes clearing the room, taking up any old flooring and cleaning the subfloor. These tasks can easily be completed before we arrive, and the less prep we have to do on our end, the quicker we can get started on fitting your new floors
Regardless of the flooring you choose, our fitters will work as quickly and efficiently as possible – ensuring minimal disruption to your daily routine.
How do I choose the best flooring for my home?
With so many different options available, choosing new flooring for your home may seem nothing short of an impossible task.
To make things easier, here are some things to take into consideration.
Style
Selecting new flooring in Wigan comes down to personal choice, more than anything.
Of course, you want it to look good and fit in with the rest of your home’s décor, but everyone knows what they like, so it’s best to stick to your preferences.
Practicality
If you want your new flooring to last, you need to think about practical options.
Let’s say you need new flooring for your hall, stairs and landing, or in your kitchen or bathroom.
For these areas, you’ll need floors that can withstand heavy footfall and the occasional spillage.
Maintenance
Are you prepared for daily cleaning, or do you need something that doesn’t require much TLC?
Different types of flooring – like carpet, for example – are more demanding than others, so this is another important thing you need to consider when shopping around.
Laminate or vinyl is best if you’re looking for something low maintenance – and all it takes to keep it clean is a quick sweep a couple of times per week and a wipe over with a damp mop.
Budget
Having an idea of how much you want to spend and sticking to it will help narrow down your options massively, while preventing you from overspending.
Can I pay for my new flooring on finance?
Yes. Through Snap Finance, you can spread the cost of your new flooring and fitting with weekly or monthly repayments. Credit is subject to status and affordability.
