Measuring up was done very efficiently and professionally we particularly loved how LJV Carpets responded quickly to any queries. We also appreciated they were prepared to pre-order our carpets, and then hold onto them until we were ready for installation, even allowing us to push back our installation date when our home renovations dragged on. When it came to fitting, again communications were excellent and Neil didn’t absolutely superb job of fitting two rooms inside half a day. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble for them, and we really appreciated that level of care. Should I do anything to prepare for my carpet installation?

Make sure the subfloor is clean – remove all traces of grease, glue and other residue and check for any nails left behind before going over the area with your vacuum.

How long will it take to install my new carpet?

Nine times out of ten, your new carpet can be fitted within a day – and often only takes us a few hours.

However, the exact amount of time it’ll take us depends on a couple of different factors, including:

The size of the area – The larger the area, the longer it’ll take to install your flooring.
The amount of prep work we need to do – The more prep work we need to do, the longer it’ll take for us to start the installation process.
Stairs and awkward spaces – Areas like staircases, landings, and rooms with lots of corners or obstacles take longer than standard square rooms due to the extra cutting and shaping involved.

We aim to keep disruption to an absolute minimum, and our fitters work efficiently as they go, so there’s no unnecessary mess for you to take care of. How do I take care of my new carpet?

If you want your new carpet to last, proper care and maintenance are essential.

You’ll need to vacuum regularly – twice a week for high-traffic areas and once for low-traffic areas– and keep an eye out for any spillages, cleaning them up immediately.
